ENSOCIO Review Meeting In Marseille, 24-25 November 2014

The ENSOCIO team met in Marseille, France, to to work on the specific networking and promotion actions arising from the earlier ENSOCIO Cancún workshop (see appendix for description). Group work will focus on priority topics and actions as identified in ENSOCIO Reports D3-3, D4-3 and D5-3.
The main objective of this workshop was to work on the specific networking and promotion actions arising from the earlier ENSOCIO Cancún workshop (see appendix for description). Group work focussed on priority topics and actions as identified in ENSOCIO Reports D3-3, D4-3 and D5-3.
In addition, to:
- review and agree on developments with the knowledge platform
review remaining deliverables / actions and start preparation on those items
Hence, the agenda comprised mainly of group working sessions, with brief plenary sessions before and after.
The timing and location was designed to allow partners to attend the ALCUE NET Biodiversity working group meeting held at IRD offices in Marseille during Wed-Fri of the same week.
The priority topics identified by each of the 3 working groups, and hence the focus for discussion and development during this Marseille Workshop, were:
Group 1:
- RP1 – Water resources and food security
RP2 – Governance of Climate, Biodiversity and Ecosystem Services
RP4 – Role of small holders in global land use changes and biodiversity
Group 2:
- FG1: Implementation of wastewater treatment systems and water reuse technologies at a small scale, incl. participatory management
RP: Use of wastewater for agricultural production
RP: Health, Climate Change, and Water Quality
Group 3:
- FG1: Sustainable mining
Focus session 1 = Main topics for the Sustainable mining actions
Focus session 2 = Sustainable mining consortium members & reference group + wider network communication strategy
Focus session 3 = Application for H2020 call: WP topics, workload and structure.
